demon waves pound the lonely child
left to play upon the shore
swept away she knows the truth
is a late discovery

_____a. fishermen are late in coming.
_____b. parents are off and running.
_____c. sharks are often cunning.
_____d. heaven’s a world so stunning.

she thinks she’ll have to stay awhile.
