Comet, by Audiowriter

The slight wind grew in strength and became hotter and hotter, until it revealed a raging wall of fire that was racing directly toward me, engulfing the horizon and charring the landscape. I stood from my chair on the front porch, watching in absolute terror, as everything was instantly vaporized into nothing more than incinerated particles of red burning ambers floating amidst swirling black smoke.
